Return and Refund Policy

Thank you for shopping at Fake Plastic Love. We strive to provide high-quality handmade products and excellent customer service. Please review our Return and Refund Policy carefully before making a purchase.

1. General Return Policy

Due to the nature of our products, we do not accept returns or provide refunds unless your situation meets one of the specific conditions outlined below. By placing an order with us, you agree to these terms.

2. No Refunds Policy

We do not offer refunds under any circumstances, except in the case of orders placed by customers who have been previously blacklisted. These are customers who have violated our Terms and Conditions or engaged in fraudulent activities. If an order is placed by a blacklist customer, Fake Plastic Love reserves the right to cancel the order and issue a full refund.

Please note:

  • Change of mind or order cancellations after the order has been placed are not accepted.
  • Refunds are not available for issues related to shipping delays, customs clearance, or non-collection of parcels.

3. Change of Heart (Exchanges)

If you have a change of heart after placing your order, you may request an exchange for another item within 24 hours of placing the order. Exchanges are subject to the following conditions:

  • The item you wish to exchange must be of equal or greater value than the original item. If the new item costs more, the price difference will be charged to you.
  • The exchange request must be made via email at love@fakeplasticlove.com within 24 hours of the original purchase.
  • Any additional costs, including shipping or product price differences, will be the responsibility of the customer.

Please note: We do not accept exchanges after the 24-hour window has passed. Once production or shipping has commenced, no changes can be made.

4. Faulty Items

In the rare case that you receive a faulty item, we will offer an exchange or repair for the same product. 

  • You must notify us within 2 days of receiving the item, and provide photographic evidence of both the faulty item and its original packaging.
  • The item must be returned in its original condition, unworn, and in its original packaging.
  • Once we receive and inspect the returned item, we will dispatch a replacement of the same item.

Please note: We do not offer refunds for faulty items. Only exchanges are permitted.

5. Responsibility for Shipping Costs

For returns related to faulty items, you are responsible for covering the return shipping costs. Fake Plastic Love is not responsible for any lost or damaged returns during transit. We recommend using a trackable shipping method and purchasing shipping insurance where appropriate.

If the package is returned to us due to an incorrect address provided by the customer or failure to collect the package, the customer will be responsible for any additional shipping costs to resend the item.

6. Chargeback Policy

We aim to resolve all issues directly with our customers. If you experience any issues with your order, we strongly encourage you to contact us at love@fakeplasticlove.com so that we can assist you promptly.

Filing a chargeback without contacting us first or allowing us sufficient time to resolve the issue will be considered inappropriate and may be contested. In the event of a chargeback, we reserve the right to provide evidence to the payment processor to dispute the claim if it does not comply with our Return and Refund Policy or Terms and Conditions.

We will dispute chargebacks in the following cases:

  • No prior contact: You did not contact us to resolve the issue before filing a chargeback.
  • In transit: The package is still in transit, and the estimated delivery time has not been exceeded.
  • No insurance: You selected a shipping method that did not include insurance, and the item has been delayed but not declared lost.
  • Non-compliance: The chargeback is for reasons that do not align with this Return and Refund Policy (e.g., dissatisfaction with product, change of mind, or shipping delays).

7. Nature of Handmade Products

Due to the handmade nature of our products, slight variations in shape, color, size, and weight may occur. We make every effort to ensure that product photos are as accurate as possible, using natural lighting. However, we cannot guarantee that the colours shown on your screen will match the actual product perfectly due to differences in screen settings.

These variations are not considered defects, and no refunds or exchanges will be provided for such differences. By purchasing from Fake Plastic Love, you acknowledge and accept these potential variations.

8. Material Allergies

All product materials are clearly listed on the product pages. It is your responsibility to review the materials before making a purchase. Fake Plastic Love is not responsible for any allergic reactions caused by wearing products made with these materials. No refunds or exchanges will be provided for allergic reactions.

9. Blacklist Customer Orders

Blacklist customers are individuals who have violated our Terms and Conditions or engaged in fraudulent activities. If a blacklist customer places an order, we reserve the right to:

  • Cancel the order and issue a full refund.

Please note that additional fees may be charged by credit card companies and Shopify when processing refunds for blacklist customers. These fees will be deducted from the total amount refunded.

Additionally, high-risk customers are automatically flagged and rejected by our fraud detection system. If your order is marked as high-risk, it will not be processed, and you will be notified via email.

10. EU Right of Withdrawal

If you are a consumer located in the European Union, you have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days of receiving your order, without giving any reason.

The withdrawal period expires 14 days from the day you (or a third party indicated by you) physically receive the last item of your order. Weekends and public holidays are included in this period.

To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us of your decision by contacting us at love@fakeplasticlove.com before the 14-day withdrawal period expires.

Once you have notified us of your withdrawal, you have a further 14 days to return the goods to us. You are responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods.

We will reimburse all payments received from you, including standard delivery costs, without undue delay and no later than 14 days after we receive the returned goods (or proof of return, whichever is earlier). We will use the same payment method you used for the original transaction.

You are responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods to us. If the goods are returned in a condition beyond what is necessary to establish their nature, characteristics, and functioning, we reserve the right to deduct an amount reflecting any diminished value.

Exceptions: The right of withdrawal does not apply to all customer orders.
