Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Fake Plastic Love. By accessing or using our website and services, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms and Conditions. Please read the following carefully as it contains important information regarding your rights and obligations.

If you do not agree to these terms, please refrain from using our website and services.

1. General Terms

By placing an order with Fake Plastic Love, you agree to the following:

  • You are at least 18 years old or have obtained parental/guardian consent to make a purchase.
  • All personal information you provide is accurate, current, and complete.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password.
  • We reserve the right to refuse service, terminate accounts, remove or edit content, or cancel orders at our discretion if these Terms and Conditions are violated.

2. Orders and Payment

  • All orders are subject to acceptance and availability.
  • Prices are listed in the currency specified on the product page and do not include shipping fees, taxes, or customs duties unless otherwise stated.
  • Full payment is required at the time of purchase. We accept major credit cards and other payment options as indicated on our website.
  • You agree to provide valid and accurate payment information. In the event that your payment method is declined, we reserve the right to cancel your order.
  • We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order suspected of fraud or unauthorized activity.
  • For all EU countries, I only accept orders above 1400HKD or above

3. Processing Time

  • Made-to-Order Items: Production times for made-to-order items range from 21 to 60 business days. The specific lead time is detailed on the product page.
  • Ready-to-Ship Items: Ready-to-ship items will be dispatched within 14 business days of receiving full payment.
  • Custom/Bespoke Items: Custom pieces require a minimum of 60 business days for production before dispatch. The production time may vary depending on the complexity of the item.

Note: Business days exclude weekends and public holidays.

4. Shipping and Delivery

Our Shipping Policy (available here) forms part of these Terms and Conditions. By placing an order, you agree to the following shipping terms:

  • Local Shipping: All orders within Hong Kong are shipped via SF Express/JDL.
  • International Shipping: We use e-Express+, EconomiQ Standard(Yun Express) and Speedpost services by Hong Kong Post for international orders.
  • USA orders are shipped via EconomiQ standard since 2025 via DDP shipping except solid gokd/white gold pieces.
  • Shipping Estimates: Estimated delivery times are provided for your convenience but are not guaranteed. Delays may occur due to factors such as customs inspections, holidays, or postal disruptions.
  • Tracking: All orders include tracking information. However, tracking updates may not always be available in real-time for all destinations.
  • Customs and Duties: Customers are responsible for any customs fees, taxes, or import duties that may apply in their country. We do not mark packages as gifts to avoid customs fees.

Once your order is handed over to the shipping provider, the risk of loss is transferred to you, the customer. Fake Plastic Love is not liable for lost or damaged parcels. Please refer to our Shipping Policy for further details.

5. Locating Lost Packages

Before an item is officially declared lost by Hong Kong Post, Fake Plastic Love will provide all available tracking information and details necessary to help you locate the package. However, it is the customer's responsibility to communicate with their local postal service to locate the package.

As Fake Plastic Love is based in Hong Kong, we do not have the means to contact local postal services or entities in other countries on your behalf. We advise you to proactively reach out to your local postal service if any delays or issues arise.

6. Compensation for Lost Items

Compensation is only available for items declared lost by Hong Kong Post. You are responsible for regularly checking the shipping status of your package and communicating with both your local postal service and Fake Plastic Love if any issues arise.

An item is considered lost if it does not show a delivery status within one month of posting. Compensation claims must be submitted in accordance with the guidelines set out in our Shipping Policy.

  • No compensation is provided for delays, customs confiscations, or items returned due to incorrect or incomplete address details.
  • No refund of postage will be made under any circumstances.

7. Nature of Handmade Products

Due to the nature of handmade products, slight variations in shape, color, size, and weight may occur. Fake Plastic Love works diligently to ensure that product images are as accurate as possible, using good lighting to capture true colors and textures. However, due to differences in screen settings, the actual colors of the items may vary slightly from what you see on your device.

Additionally, all item details, including materials used, are clearly listed on each product page. Fake Plastic Love is not responsible for any allergic reactions caused by wearing products made from these materials. It is your responsibility to review the product materials before making a purchase.

Note that metals like brass and silver tarnish over time, you can always restore it's shine by using a jewellery cloth or other methods which you can refer to jewellery care at fakeplasticklove.com

8. Returns and Exchanges

We only accept returns or exchanges for items that are faulty. If you receive a faulty item, you must notify us within 2 days of receiving the item and provide photographic evidence of the item and packaging.

  • All returned items must be in their original condition and packaging. We reserve the right to refuse returns that do not meet these conditions.
  • The same item will be shipped out once the faulty item has been returned and inspected.
  • You are responsible for the return shipping costs.

We do not accept returns or exchanges for:

  • Incorrect size
  • Change of mind
  • General dissatisfaction with the product

If your package is returned to us due to an undeliverable address or failure to collect, you will be responsible for any additional postage costs to resend the item.

9. Chargeback Policy

We are committed to resolving any issues with your order directly. If you do not receive your order within the estimated delivery window, contact us for assistance. Filing a chargeback prematurely, without allowing us adequate time to investigate or confirm the item as lost, will be considered inappropriate and may be contested.

We reserve the right to dispute any chargeback that does not comply with these Terms and Conditions, particularly if:

  • The shipping method chosen does not include insurance and the item is delayed but not lost.
  • You have not contacted us to resolve the issue prior to filing the chargeback.
  • The chargeback is filed while the package is still in transit or before the estimated delivery window has expired.

10. Limitation of Liability

Fake Plastic Love is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our website, products, or services, including but not limited to:

  • Loss of profits
  • Business interruption
  • Loss of data
  • Loss or damage to goods during transit

In no event shall our liability exceed the total value of the goods purchased.

11. Intellectual Property

All content on the Fake Plastic Love website, including but not limited to the text, graphics, logos, and images, is the property of Fake Plastic Love or our content suppliers and is protected by international copyright laws. You may not reproduce, modify, or distribute any content from our website without prior written permission.

12. Privacy Policy

Your privacy is important to us. We collect, store, and use your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By using our services, you consent to the collection and use of your data as outlined in our policy.

13. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Hong Kong, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Hong Kong.

14. Amendments

We reserve the right to modify or update these Terms and Conditions at any time, without prior notice. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website. Your continued use of our services following the posting of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
